I started DJ’ing in 2003/2004 when I was 17, by emailing and writing to clubs that were on the student circuit, this included getting work at Ikon and Diva (Southampton) and Elements (Bournemouth, now Lava & Ignite) from there i went to The Chapel Night Club in Salisbury (night club of the south 1999, night club of the year 2000/2001) where i became the resident R’n'B DJ Wednesday through till Saturday for two years, then i decided to Spread my wings a little both in terms of Music and Venues. i have been lucky and have DJ’ed in New York City at a club called Marquee, and have also had the privilege of DJ’in at the famous Tramps in Tenerife, as well as having DJ’ed at every venue in Salisbury, I currently playing at Legends Nightclub in north Dorset, and occasionally return to The Chapel Night Club. I have also worked with a lot of top talents from PA guests to Live Artists and DJ’s, including Radio 1′s Trevor Nelson, Greg James and Reggie Yates, i have also worked with Radio 1 legends Spoony and Dave Pearce and i have also have the change to work with some great artists/DJ’s including Sash!! (Ecuador, Raindrops) which I both booked and Promoted, Ultrabeat (Ian Redman), Danny Byrd (D’n'B) and top ten artist McLean (Broken, My Name and Finally in Love) ning records more enjoyable, and finding an old classic even more enjoyable.

Paul Carroll is the South-West’s hottest up and comming urban DJ, with a reputation that’s got him spinning his magic in clubs and bars across the UK. From old skool classics to cutting edge tunes, Paul smashes it every time with his wicked sets and unique urban floor-filler vibes. Paul’s experience on the decks started when he bought his first set at the age of 16, helping to develop a serious passion – and the talent to match. Pushing out mixtapes and fronting weekly RnB nights in bars and clubs , it didn’t take long before Paul’s fresh and diverse sounds caught the attention of the country’s biggest nightclubs, Brunel Rooms, Swindon. Taking to the decks as resident urban DJ in 2004, he worked with the likes of Shortie Blitz, Tim Westwood, The Dream Team, DJ EZ, DJ Luck & MC Neat and the Heartless Crew.

More than a decade later, Paul’s love of urban music and serious talent on the decks has helped him become one of the finest and most sought after DJ’s in the South-West.

Mixing it up in Bristol, Swindon, Cheltenham, Bournemouth, Cardiff, and at Northern Ireland’s first ever UK funky event in Belfast, his reputation for delivering the freshest sounds has taken Paul all over the UK. He’s has worked for brands such as Twice as Nice and Flaunt Parties and plays with Too2Ruff, Eruption, Spotlight Events, Hed Kandi, Valve and loads more, taking to the decks alongside huge names on the urban scene including Trevor Nelson, Tim Westwood, Rampage, Heartless Crew, G Child, MistaJam, Ace & Vis, Ras Kwame, Crazy Cousinz, Scottie B, Cameo and Undisputed to name a few. Paul currently holds residency at a number of urban nights in the South West, including Too2Ruff, Twice as Nice and CWLI events, and his very own Sunday night at Bushwackers, as well being a resident in The Crypt, Worcester’s finest club for RnB. He’s is also a residency at flaunt Parties’ RnB events in Swindon, Bristol and Cardiff, holding the support slot for all of Radio 1 DJ Trevor Nelson’s events. He’s also been approached to spin for Hyperactive – the UK’s second biggest club night.

Soon to be collaborating with big names such as Jaguar Skills, Seani B and Artful Dodger, Paul has proven himself to the biggest names in the industry. His latest venture is the launch of his own urban mixtape series, ‘Press Play’. With monthly mixtapes being release for download or on cd – bringing together the freshest tracks, mash ups and remixes the urban music scene has to offer.

And when he’s not smashing it at one of his regular urban nights, you’ll find Paul taking over the airwaves for the ‘Catchy Hours’ weekly radio show at Swindon 105.5FM.
